My name is Anna Braukus and I am from Washington state and am attending the University of Nevada, Reno. I plan to get my bachelors degree in business so that I am able to start up my own business in the future of doing hair. I also plan to play softball throughout college with the hopes to coach in further years. As I have played softball most my life, I have learned that teamwork, grit, and hard-work are the determining factors of success. With that, I am determined to achieve my goals with the idea in mind that I need people around me who strive for the same goal as me so that we can work together to get where we want to go in the end. Outside of my love for softball, I do love to be outside whether it is going to the beach or going on hikes or even just sitting on a lawn chair with my dogs. I also love food as it has been something I was introduced to since I was young when I would travel and experience all kinds of cultures and their food. Expanding of traveling, I used to live in Switzerland when I was 10 years old and it was the best experience that nothing could ever compete with. I learned how to speak German, how to make Swiss bread, and how to walk from my house to downtown. It was a very different way of living than I had ever experienced back in Washington but adversity has never stopped me from living life the way I want to live it.
